Ran out of books to read? Enjoy laughing `til you cry? The Discworld could be right up your street

If you are anything like me, your reading habits consist of hammering through chapters one to three, then never looking at the book again. Ever. It can be a waste of time and money, and your bookshelves are overloaded with stuff you have no connection to. How to make friends and influence people? The second book, the third shelf on the right. No, of course, I haven't read it, it`s there to be seen, not touched...

But what if there was another way? A book you read until dawn, just one more page! You need to leave for work in two hours, you don't care, you knew by 3 am you were in trouble...

If you aren't already on the same page as me and thinking Pratchett. Discworld. Ankh Morpork. Laughed until I was sick; then email me, I want to read what you read...

While Sir Terry Pratchett is no longer of this realm, Death, and Binky the horse having whisked the legendary author off to somewhere in the Ramtop mountains, his books live on for all to enjoy, at least until its time for work, or school. If you haven`t heard of the Discworld series (there are 41 books to feast upon), today is your lucky day. A large number of the series are available on Amazon for as little as £1.99 each, an absolute steal, I have been re-reading them for 20 years, now that's VALUE!

There has never been a better time to immerse yourself on the Discworld, the characters you will meet! The places you will go! And for the price the kindle editions are at present, the best bargain you will get all year! You could be stomping the streets of Ankh Morpork with Captain Vimes and his watchmen, saving the city from untold dangers. You could be skimming the trees atop a broomstick with Granny Weatherwax, Death himself could be your guide as you make your first foray into the sheer magnificence of Pratchett's storytelling. I envy you, even writing this I can smell the city, I can hear the gloop of the river Ankh as it walks on by. The smell of snow in the air, the grit of the desert sands along the Djel as the pyramids flare, You will fear for their lives, laugh at and with them until you cry, and cry until you laugh at the absurdity of it.

The series is so popular that there is still a thriving community surrounding it. From fan fiction to merchandise, and a fan club in pretty much every city from Adelaide to Zurich, from Lancre to Quirm, and once you get hooked, you stay hooked. So put the kettle on, make yourself some Distressed pudding, and start your journey today, what have you got to lose? Apart from sleep, and whole chunks of days as you laugh yourself silly.

Hurry though, these prices won't be long much longer, so get your first Discworld book today!
